Why Strikethrough Exists

Originally: showing edits in documents. Redlined changes. What was removed.

Now: comedic effect, passive aggression, corrections that let people see the original.

This uses Unicode combining characters (U+0336) applied to each letter. It's not a font — these characters literally have a line drawn through them in the Unicode spec.
